we had our midterm yesterday (thursday, 24th). im pretty confident that i did well! not only do i stay awake in the 2 1/2 hours of class, but the material we are covering in class is really interesting! we are learning the history of the time periods between the late roman empire and the early renaissance! we also have some papers due in the near future. one paper im writing on the BLack Plague, and the other on a church that we took a class field trip too. The weekends have slowed down. more studying and site seeing, less party time. we get all excited wen we go new places, but its nice when things start to settle down. for my next break in early november, im traveling to Barcelona and Madrid! i have a friend from hawaii who will be there during that time, so ill get to meet up with him, his name is cory as well, and we can see the world!
on sunday im going to the vatican ealry in the morning. every last sunday of the month, its free admission and the pope comes out and walks around! then im going to a soccer game! the feature match of the year between the two rome rivals: lazio vs. Roma.
its like the civil war when these two teams play. very serious buisness here...
i bought my ticket today, and they came with brass knuckles ;) kidding.
anyways, all is good. ill give you an update soon (if im still alive after the soccer game)!
feel free to comment on the posts, love to hear from you!

Hi Cory,
I love reading your blog and seeing you in all the pictures. Looks like you are having a blast, but also learning alot. Italy is an amazing country.

We are all doing well out here. Kevin is in his senior year and taking the ACT test tomorrow. Mark has adjusted easily to high school which is nice. I started a new job--quit working at the City and am at a private firm that sells malpractice insurance to lawyers. I work in the finance department. I really like the change. Mike and I went to Kauai at the end of September. We stayed at our friend's timeshare condo again. Mike's mom came out and stayed with Kevin and Mark so they wouldn't miss school. Then Mike's sister and husband met us in Kauai and we had a blast. We stayed on the south end near Poipu, did lots of hiking, snorkeling etc. I hope I can make this thing work. This is the second time I've tried--not to technically smart in this stuff. Keep having fun over there! Love, Aunt Cindy

Hi Cory,
Today Uncle Ron, Aunt Joan, Jill and Claire took a new Yorkshire Terrier puppy to Grandma. Her name is Chloe. We all got it for her for a Christmas present, but early because this lady in St. Helens had a girl puppy ready. Grandma fell in love at first sight. Pretty cool. I'm so excited for Grandma to have a puppy dog to take care of and fuss over.

Do they celebrate Halloween in Italy?

Ciao, Aunt Cindy
